As always, 2100 zh rating (or chess title per lichess rules) is required to entry these arenas. If you are new to the business and struggle to hold 2100 rating, a common trick is to sign up in advance when you have the required rating. After signing up, you can fall below 2100 and still participate - as long as you don't pause the arena.

I stand to be corrected but the time control appears to alternate with the days, being 1+2 on Saturdays and 3+0 on Fridays

Correct, we play on Fridays when there is a Titled Arena - such as this week.

If you struggle to maintain the needed 2100 rating, a common trick is to sign up to tournaments immediately after you have crossed the barrier. After that, you can fall below the limit and still be able to play as long as you don't pause or withdraw from them.
