How to improve mouse speed?

<Comment deleted by user>
@Toscani
i didn't have any mouse to begin with, just the standard trackpad on the Macbook Air. Hardware & network settings shouldn't be any problem. I will probably have to practice accuracy with the new mouse, & get used to it.

I feel that i am far away from being able to play bullet games (or for that matter 3+0 rapid games at a decent level) but i like to begin the process and gradually develop the speed alongside with the tactical ability to find the moves to start with. I might have spend a bit much on a mouse and mousepad, but now, if i won't be able to increase my speed, it will be evident that i simply do not have the ability. I'm planning on using mouseaccuracy.com/results like someone suggested to train and track my mouse accuracy in combination with Puzzle Storm

Make a cat chase your mouse and it will improve its speed.

167 euros?? Sheesh but yes, you should be able to play faster now.
Adjust Mouse Settings: In your computer settings, you can increase the sensitivity or speed of your mouse. This can usually be found in the control panel or system preferences.

Use a Gaming Mouse: Gaming mice often come with adjustable DPI (dots per inch) settings, allowing for more precise control over cursor speed.

Mouse Pad: A quality mouse pad can enhance mouse movement. Consider using a pad that suits your preferences, whether it's a hard or soft surface.

Clean Your Mouse Sensor: Dust and debris on the mouse sensor can affect accuracy and speed. Keep your mouse and mouse pad clean.

Practice Regularly: Familiarity with your mouse and its speed is crucial. Regular practice can help you become more comfortable and precise with your movements.

Hope this helps :)

I calculated that if I cancel my chess. com premium membership in 10 months time the mouse will be “free”

I also got a chrome extension where you automatically can analyse a chess. com game in lichess

I am delusional enough that– if I wouldn’t be able to get faster– I would blame the mouse, so I would convince myself that I just need a better mouse, and that would in the long term cost me more money...
