Tournaments That Are All... For Americans

There's some feedbacks to Lichess, because we're at Asia and especially I'm in China, please let the time control change. Every big important tournaments think of Americans! Not fair! Please change some tournament times like Monthly tournament or Yearly or Elite! Thanks Lichess! ;)

Yeah For Indians too Also those shield, and marathons
I have ask about this like 10 times in the tournament chat for important events, really.
And there is not much Americans in lichess at all(sorry if I'm wrong)
#3 has a point.
most of the population and i would say at least 70-80% of lichess users, live in the eastern hemisphere, but the timing of most major tournaments which include shields and monthly/yearly tournaments. are starting in the range 21:00 to 00:00, most of them lasting till 00:00 to 4:00am in IST ,which by about 95% of people sleep and about 99.999999999999% dont find suitable to play chess in.
Well actually, tournament are suited for GMT (British time). But it is still inconvenient for youngsters like me in Britain who can't play in the important late night tournaments (ie Daily Rapid).

You can't find a time to suit everybody's needs, in summary.
Asia literally will have double users compared to Europe and America due to china and India's population ( i am from India ) . If lichess plan their time and calendar properly , i bet they will have over 2 lack people playing at once at least.

Yes, but atleast tourneys time can be changed alternatively so that everyone can enjoy chess.
True, you could have shield tournaments for IST. But there are things already like Eastern Blitz and Superblitz
Special tournaments rarely happen and it's for America and Europe.
Everyday tournaments always happen and it's for Asia.
Win-win I guess? Daily tournaments or other ones still have many people to join.

Ye but there is a lot of difference between those normal ones and shields / years / monthly ones. And even for that matter titled arena's.
