Congratulations Lance

@hangrad beating Anish Giri is no small feat. I bet he could become a GM (maybe not 'easily' though)
@soni777new Please post the link to the game. Anish Giri is currently world #4. In the past Anish Giri was much weaker than he is now. The key factor is how much time has passed since lance beat Anish Giri.
@hangrad why so negative? Game was played in 2016 when he was very much an elite player. Also 2 wins and a draw against Nakamura. Idk the time control. You can find the games yourself rather than being lazy.
@hangrad Just accept it - based on your ratings, there's a lot that he could teach you, so why are you questioning his skill? One might bring up some of your games, played against much weaker playerd than Anish Giri ever was.
@hangrad Why are you putting down professional players? If you think he is weak, try playing him, and lets see the results. Also, he is one of the most celebrated players on Lichess. What are you complaining about?
@matecheck2006 I cannot play him because I don't meet the requirements to join his simuls. You don't meet them either.
@Lance5500 is a great chess coach. I'm not sure where the negativity regarding him comes from, but he is a kind and generous person, that will work with you on a personal level for a program specifically for your chess improvement. His price is extremely reasonable and he certainly gives a greater deal than I was expecting. I don't see anything wrong with advertising his services or having a fan club, I personally went looking for a Lance5500 fan club before I knew there was one or ever played in one of his simuls.

If you've ever conversed with him, you would know how off-base all the negativity is. He is a real person with great knowledge that he wants to share with students. I don't think wanting to get paid for that is a bad thing, especially since he is so good at it.

The fact is that with any simul, the number of folks not picked is going to be greater than the number picked. How often do you get to play with super strong players?

I recommend reaching out to him and hiring him as your coach. It will greatly improve your chess, and he is the kindest coach you'll ever have that truly cares about your progress.
