Have you ever forgotten something important?

Once I had scheduled a talk (I had written it down on my agenda), but I forgot. I was out with my family when I got a call from one of the organizers. I raised my hands to my head and asked him to change my turn on the list of the event speakers. I went back to my apartment, put on a suit and went to the hotel where the event was taking place. Happily, I was able to make my presentation.

I forgot I was being threatened with a Scholars mate...so you all know what happened next-

I forgot my wedding anniversary. I was having lunch with my wife. I suddenly remembered. I told her: "this lunch is the beginning of the celebrations for this very special day." She was happy. I had to improvise the rest of the day.

Dunno.

I had to leave for camp early in the morning. I got up and saw that it was already light as day outside the window. I thought I had to get ready and when I started to pack my last rucksack, when suddenly my mother came out of the bedroom laughing and said:
- where are you going?! It's 2:00 in the a.m.!
I looked at my watch and it was 2.15
We had white nights back then :0

I was on a new job with a completely different schedule than my previous job. I woke up thinking I was on the old schedule, slept through my new shift.

Reminds me when I was a kid, I got up, put on my uniform and went to school. I thought it was a bit odd that I didn't see the other kids on the mile-plus walk. Anyway, turns out it was Saturday.

I worked at a company where I was scheduled to work mornings and afternoons for two weeks and work nights for the next two weeks. Once I was scheduled to work mornings and afternoons. I was sleeping and when I woke up I thought I saw the sunrise. But I was wrong because it was around 6 PM (it was Sunday and night was falling). I breathed in relief.

I have forgotten my key several times and was annoyed because of the costs for the locksmith. Since them I locked up my door from the inner side and so I never forget to lock up and take my key before I leave my flat.
