I would like an opinion to hide your own ratings, so I only check it if I click on it. Also option to not see opponents ratings. Then if you wanted to see your ratings you can turn the setting off or maybe click to rating box to see it. This would prevent people from always looking at rating.
There is zen mode so that you cant see the ratings
Yeah zen mode is the one you're looking for if you want to hide ratings for some specific games, and if you are looking for a permanent solution then it would be this lichess.org/account/preferences/display#showRatings as @ bufferunderrun mentioned above.
Yep using the hide ratings in the options. I'm amazed by how much more fun I'm having without paying attention to my rating. Of course I can check it once a month or maybe once a year.
