According to the rules of chess, if any sequence that could lead up to checkmate is possible, but the opponent that could checkmate runs out of time, it is a draw.
in the final position I was having only K (and a lost pawn) but opponent was having only K+B, I lost by time... I guess it's not correct, as my opponent can't never ever checkmate me...

I don't have time to check that, but I'll bet you that someone will come here and prove you wrong. And, the checkmate sequence can be the most dumbest sequence of moves ever, but if there's a way, it's a draw.
my pawn is going to be kept, so then on the board there is only K vs. K+B.... no mate is possible....

The problem is you still had a pawn. You can underpromote to a knight, and then get checkmated. So as long as that pawn is alive, you can lose on time.
isnt that what hes trying to say that its a draw and he should not have lost
No, he says that the pawn gets captured. But it wasn't captured. It was still on the board.

And according to the rules, if checkmate is possible by any sequence of legal moves, the side that runs out of time loses.

And in that game, both sides were technically still able to deliver checkmate.
OMG makes sense? Out of any common sense.... the pawn is on g7 so of course it must be captured else it queens... no sane player would promote to a K.... when rules don't follow common sense, they'd be changed, IMHO....
