Stockfish 12 on Lichess

What are the feelings of the Stockfish team on the fact that Rust is basically now unsupported with the layoffs at Mozilla? So Covid drove the demand for online chess but also wiped out Mozilla (I am not sure I understand why, but it did). The Rust Core Team admitted their development efforts are in a bad way right now. They are trying to start a foundation. Maybe they can get Ken Thompson to fund them.

Are there plans for the app as well?

I did not understand all of the article. But why can´t i run autoanalysis using my own machine? That seems abit simpler. Some time ago Stockfish on the server gave double questionmarks on a move. Then I ran autoanalysis with Stockfish on my machine using Chessbase. It gave the move double exclams. Im not stronger than this webengine. But i do notice faults in the analysis from time to time.
