Chess and it's history with technology

I'm glad for technology that allows chess to flourish. The accessibility of on line play is responsible for a thriving chess community. This community has developed despite the chess engine and it's threat to render the game irrelevant. While I value the ability to play without inviting an opponent into my space I do hope to see a more prosperous live chess community developing over the next thousand years. Well ten years then....
