#32: Book review: Finite and Infinite Games

lmao... not at you.. of joy. finally! not feeling alone anymore.

although, I also prefer considering simpler rulesets which allow non metaphoric infinite games. Double fun here.
All the timely administrative non-core (my point) rules.. are often infinite game classes, that can be proven never to yield a win on either side. or are convincingly so. I guess if the priority is separating winners, then 50 move rule is as good as any other 70 move rule.. but if the game, is the priority, then I like to consider the existence of classes of outcomes left behind... I don't have to play them, to consider them.. maybe wrong crowd.. but nothing says improver only crowd.. The very human notion of perpetual check without having to really get a repetitionj of position. Figuring out that the ways of mobility that are left keeping that stalling suspension of chess "tempo" inexorable march to an end of the game, I find that not considering that is kind of party downer.
