Technophilia 2.0 | Checkmate

Checkmate is a Live chess event organized by Technophilia Club open for all classes.

The event is split into 2 phases:
Prelims - 3 + 1 Blitz tournament
Finals - Surprise

Chess Portal : Lichess

Each participant must have a Lichess account in order to compete in the tournament.

The tournament will be held on lichess.com.

Date of Event : 20th October 2021

Duration of the Prelims Tournament : 60 minutes (1 hour)

The surprise for the Final phase will be revealed 20 minutes prior.

Duration of the Finals Tournament : 60 minutes (1 hour)

Top 15 players from the prelims will move forward to the finals.

No double points on consecutive wins.

A fair play check would be run on the top 3 contestants in the Finals. If any player is found guilty of cheating or using engine that participant would be disqualified.

It is advised to have a good internet connection during the tournament and the player will solely be responsible for any disconnection.
