CrazyHouse Nations League

@OFBC_Nigeria Would love to see such an event happen! I would happily start a team but unfortunately my country doesn't have that many zh players. Would be worth considering merging countries? (e.g. Scandinavia, Western Europe, Asia, etc...)

Also I see you found the ZH Olympiad forum thread, you might want to have a look at this spreadsheet to have an idea of the countries that could have enough players: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QQ4M7Sl18XSG47qpLFfIQhSoGwRCNJvaN41evaibuWI/edit#gid=1181167563
(Note that this was more than a year ago so interest might have changed)
@OFBC_Nigeria What will be the Format? If it is an Arena Team Battle I would take part and try to organize a German Team.
Thanks @OFBC_Nigeria - I messages @Yehonatan_Chess who has been making Nations Battles for Racing Kings and team captain of Israel. There are many strong Israeli players, but we have a decent team and like the 'Nations Battle' concept.
We can initially allow any team, and let anyone play for any Nation they want, most players are anonymous and verifying citizenship or dual citizenships, rights of return, difficult cases, refugees,....,
For ZH you can play for Israel even if you never been there lichess.org/team/israeli-chess-players
But in RK we get Pirates & Antarctica and others regularly and they even win some times. And if people want they can get creative with the teams.
But expect & hope the main Nations.
We probably should start with just a 2 hour Arena 3 0 seems the most likely time control, but if they catch on, can change up the format.
I agree with @Doooovid
It is true, I am regularly creating racing kings nations battles, and it's not especially popular as it was when we started it. Crazyhouse would definitely be a good variant to try in nations battles.

But note that we/you should choose time carefully. We/you should say that anyone who wants their team in the battle should contact us/you. Also, in my opinion we/you should create each one at a different time, and different days. This way everyone who wants will be able to play.

Nice idea @OFBC_Nigeria
I am more than welcome to help you with this.
