Checkmate problems

I started chess like 1,5-2 months ago, i just cant calculate checkmates sometimes i even miss mate in 1 what should i do?

I have been trying to solve tactical puzzles that has helped me to improve situation like that. Those puzzles are taken from in game examples

Play with long time controls, 10+0 is not enough to be able to calculate properly, especially if you are a beginner. Also, training tactics and learning mating patterns may help.

yeah i think solving puzzles will help you with that. Even if you fail at first keep trying until you solve it.

jk everyone misses mates in ones sometimes, u get better at chess if u r meant to be better, dont overwork yourself with minor issues. just play and enjoy your time

i dont miss mate in 1 but sometimes it happens i just feel bad about it

try correspondence games (like 3 days a move) - great for learning

This is as far as I know a fairly comprehensive list of tactics (not all are to do with checkmates, but quite a few are). After a while it just becomes pattern recognition.

Blitz and Bullet's games don't help to improve.
