No rating back for a lost game vs cheater

Hi, from time to time, i get information my opponent got banned. Sometimes I get rating back, sometimes not - why?

It's probably because sometimes You gain a lot of rating after the your lose with the cheater. Therefore if you gain a lot of rating after the lose with a cheater it an refund of rating doesn't really matter

Probably because you didn't give everyone their vodka
