The problem with open arenas is the pairing system. I play several arenas per day. Every time the top 3 finishers play an average opponent several hundred points lower than them. When I finish in the 20%-60% range, I typically face an average opponent 100-300 points higher than me. I am sure that I could finish near the top if I had such and advantageous pairing as those at the top had. Open arenas are point donation processes. To have any sort of equity, you need to play in arenas that limit entry by rating.
Learn the definition of "demonstrate".
