There is no sound notification for check move without any reason or change.
I really do not know why it's happened but it affected my game a lot in a bad way.
This is VERY annoying! Lichess, why in the world are you doing this?
also was going to ask why they changed the robot voice to not read the checks anymore! Glad I'm not the only one that noticed?!

Trust me, it is not intentional! :)
Fixed in GitHub and hopefully we'll get a restart soon.

Me too! why this is happening? I hate this! But now it lost the sound for premove as well!
