Lagging since v2 came out

Can't explain why but since v2 came out I'm experiencing a lot of lag in my games. I don't have internet connection problems and my Firefox is updated. I've also noticed sometimes my ping doubles as soon as I start playing bullet.

@Gentleman91 I've noticed that too! I don't play bullet, but when time gets short, the lag gets bigger! I had no problems with this before the changeover! I also have the latest Firefox and no problems with the connection!

Same to me. Solid connection and Firefox 66.0.4 64 Bit, but Bullet is a desaster since V2. Already turned off the highlightning of squares and material balance, hoping this might accelerate it, but in vain.

I don't like Lichess quite as much since V2 :-(.

Lichess is written and optimized for Chrome.
Wether one likes that or not, using Chrome is the workaround for the problems.
Turning off piece animation might also be better.

v2 is not fit for purpose. A rollback is necessary.

Actually, this has been true for years. Playing on Firefox costs me 100 to 200 rating points (wild guess, but more or less.)

I' ve experienced lagging too, and I am playing on google chrome. T thought it was because of my internet connection, but I never had problems with that in the past.
"No, Firefox is "supported", but Lichess is optimized for Chrome" so what was the point of putting verion 2 ? if lichess is designed for chrome and not for others browsers ?
remember newest doesnt mean better...

@pacolito and @Feniks714: I've tried Google Chrome for the first time and have admit Lichess is WAY faster than in Firefox. Thanks for the advice, pacolito!
