Lichess v2 is here

It really is too big. Responsive design is a good direction, but needs to be done properly - adapting to 100% of viewport is not a good way.... :)

Right now we have to scroll the welcome page down to see stats, puzzle, etc.
There is no need for the quick grid and fonts to be that big. I think we are not that blind :)

It really is too big. Please scale it down a little bit and it should be okay.
Modern webpages are responsive and don't use such large fonts.

Maybe it would be a good idea to use screen width media points to change scaling instead of just scaling everything immediately? See bootstrap's concept for example.
@Pashut
>What browser are you using?

Firefox

I doubt it's the browser so much as site adapting to the screen available but it's not holding its form as the chatbox I wonder slips down and the board rescale up again.

> It's a matter of opinion

It maybe a matter of opinion but there's no reason a site this well done cannot cater for two opinions.. and have simple option to resize the board.. just needs a grabber.. many other chess sites have that option.. rather a simple fix I expect.

The rest is ok.. (except the catcha on this commenting is not needed.)
Is there really someone, that puts into question, that Thibault and his team is doing their absolute best to provide the best online chess experience as they did in the past????
My suggestion to everybody currently not happy with v2: provide constructive feedback and give the guys the time to work on it!
They have my full respect and trust. For all, what was done - and for all, that will be done!
@pemo my constructive feedback is: it ain't broken, don't fix it. Let's go back to v1.
@Solal35 no one can be sure, but a majority of negative feedback (that you also acknowledge) is an indicator that something went clearly wrong with the redesign. A good redesign would displease most of users caring to comment about it.
v2, even with it's problems, is still waaaaay better than any other chess site on the planet.

Keep pushing, Thibault. The hardest choices require the strongest wills.
@pemo @Cordeiropolis -- Absolutely agreed.

@zakk87 -- As was indicated many times already, people tend to give feedback mostly when it's negative. Tens (hundreds?) of thousands of current users haven't given (yet) any feedback. Few hundred have spoken. From the ones that did, even if 90% is negative (which is not), that is still a few hundred from hundreds of THOUSANDS. Hardly "the majority".
It looks terrible, is my 22'' screen really too big?
Do we need mode for blind people as default?
I've headache because of that huuuuge font. I feel like cross-eyed ;/

To be fair – mobile version looks good.
@Pashut: you are assuming that who doesn't speak likes the redesign. Hardly the case.

Also, I have seen many redesigns on other websites being generally appreciated by the userbase: if you don't acknowledge that something went badly wrong here, you are in denial.

Look one comment above this: people cannot literally play chess on a site that's meant to play chess.
