Is it possible to get a CM title in two years?

From my Lichess tournament experience (+50,000 points, I am one of the oldest in Lichess Bundesliga), playing team tournaments will give you more responsibilities, and also help you manage your stress sustainably. also play big tournaments with prizes, not for the sake of winning, but to have the chance to compete stronger than you.

Thanks sooo much... I'll definitely consider what you said
@Nomol

It may very well depend on which country you live in. Some countries have more chess events, so you'll be able to climb up the ranks faster (more titled players/high rated players to play against, that kinda thing).

I do think it's possible, however, you need a lot of practice and training. You have to be really serious about the game if you want to be a CM in two years.

Best of luck!
Earning a Candidate Master (CM) title in chess typically requires significant tournament performance and achievements. While two years is a tight timeframe, it's theoretically possible with consistent dedication, improvement, and participation in tournaments. Focus on honing your skills, studying openings, and gaining practical experience. Regularly competing and achieving favorable results in tournaments will be crucial.

I see, thanks!
No, I play now chess 11 Month now and i never played it before i also dont know the Rules about it, so i also learnead . I have now after playing 11 Month a Fide of 1700. So maybe i can make it in two years, but that is so unrealistic. At the beginning of chess i say to became a FM is ez, because i was bad there i dindt know much avout chess, but when you get higher its getting also really hard to improve. It always getting harder when you got better. Its also how old are you. When you over twenty then i would say no when you 11 or 12 maybe when you have so much talented but then you need be the next Magnus. In my opinoin i would say no.

With outstanding dedication, talking about 8+ hours a day with actually good coaching. You might reach that level within 3-5 years.

But that is just the level, you have to farm the points in otb tournaments, and depending on how frequent they are in your city and in the nearby cities where you can travel, it will take a long time, assuming you actually got the level, which is a longshot already.

Keep your underachiever-talk to yourself.
How many GAMES will it take OTB ? if your Rated say 1700 to gain 500 points in Two Years ? I can tell you from what I remember I bellive I was 1777 went uo to 2053 then lost Rating points to 1921 before going up the final 300 points many years ago' . I bellive that took 3 years but more importamtly' about 300 games almost i'd say or maybe 270 or so >? POINT is you go up & down but STUDYING CHESS to get STRONGER helps along the way' , Anyone CAN get better at chess , just be willing to PLAY OTB many games & Study Chess while still playing on Lichess as well ... I gaing about 1000 points in five years from 1983-1988 (I passed 2200) ,,, In 1989 I was 2251 I started at 1255 . Anything is possible if you LOVE CHESS . BTW this is my 2006th POST on this Forum & I hope I have helped some with some of my imput but ok you can disagree with some of what I say however you already KNOW if you wanted to say be a policeman you would have to STUDY & BE Brave & SMART ABOUT WHAT RISKS THAT WOULD ENTAIL Or anything else you would Study to get better at AS you get better . Not everyone 'goes for it' either' Good Luck to all who try to be the best they can be at ANYTHING in Life'
