With the possible exception of the occasional iteration of the confusingly-named Friday Weekly, 4+4 is more time than you get in any official or quasi-official zh arena (The Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Yearly has always been 5+0, the only event where it was in theory possible to play a longer game was the now-defunct 4+2 Hourly).

Lower boards whose knowledge of the game is not so deep get a bit more time to consider their moves. For those who wish to play a game at the time control that only they are enlightened enough to recognise as simply perfect, there's always the lobby.

i'm not exactly sure how this is a similar argument because i don't understand how we're assuming that "higher rating in zh" equates to "faster time control" when zh ratings aren't based on time control

I would love to take part in this swiss tourney, but do you know what time it is on wednesday?

It starts on Wednesday (3 April) and each round takes ideally 1 week to complete
Depending on the number of teams and players, the tournament will take approximately 1 month to complete

Fox, there are no fixed times.
The times of the games are agreed upon via DMs between the players scheduled to play each other in a given round.

It's not an Arena Tournament. You get that, right?

You would be welcomed provided that you agreed to respect the basic norms of communication. For example, reading the answers you are given to your question rather than merely repeating the question in block capitals or posting a series of question marks.

In short, no spamming. Consider this the one and only warning that you are going to get.
