I beat someone rated 523 points higher than me! (No berserk)

I love 1.Nf3 2.C4, and will always love it.
I would love to know your thoughts about the game, and any advice on what I could have done better.
Kind regards-shadow1414:)
Really nice game! You had him on ropes for most of the game :D
IMO You should keep these good ones for 10 years from now and then look back. ;) The deep question I have to ask is: if you won the game, did you need to do better? You found a way to get a mistake or 3 from your opponent, great work!

I find that when I lose - I'm more interested in finding new ways to mix it up. I'm not just talking about that moment when the computer says I got behind - looking at only that one moment is lazy (Though I do want to know it and understand it so I can avoid it going forward). What I'm also looking for in those losing games is a way to play from behind, so that the next time I get behind maybe I can pull something out of the hat. In that way, I think I can easily learn more from the losses.
I've beaten someone nearly 900 points higher than me (obviously very old game):

Pawn on h3, I will never forget you :)
