A kind of unwritten rule with puzzles is that the solution to win the game must be the only way to win the game. This is because if there is another way to win, then the tactic is not valid, and when the alternative method to win is even simpler than the given solution, the puzzle is completely useless.
Most of the puzzles on lichess involve useless mating patterns that people will almost never use in a real game, instead of double attack/fork tactics that will help people win material and win games. The lichess tactics trainer is plagued by these problems even more than other websites. The lichess trainer is one of the worst I've used and is definetely worse than chess.com/chesstempo and others.
A huge amount of these puzzles are seriously bad and no one will improve their game by doing them. It would be nice if there was some reasonable way to vet these puzzles other than the upvote/downvote system because people enjoy these mating puzzles and upvote them even though they don't do them any good
