I get your drift - but that's very much a false equivalency. Yes, wealth and power are unfairly distributed in western societies and being a minority means the cards are stacked against you. And that, make no mistake, is bad.

In Kazakhstan, you literally cannot peacefully protest any government decision unless you feel like being subjected to a completely unaccountable system of police brutality and politically motivated "justice". Google Max Bokaev - the dude ended up in prison for five years because he dared voice concerns about some reforms.

Are both situations bad? Yes. Are they anywhere near equal? No.
