11 Bxf7+ was indeed nicer (not to mention thematic).

its interesting although most people would play be6 but granted this is under 2k so yea nice

Yes, it should be second nature to Caro-Kann players that you must oppose and blunt that white bishop on c4 as top priority, certainly if you've played ...Rf8-e8. For the engine 9...Nd7 an "inaccuracy" because Black can still hang on and earmarks the next move as the decisive mistake, but to me as a human player ...Nd7 is the most horrible move of this game.

somehow, this is the exact game till move 10 which i played against my coach, then he played Bxf7 instead, and i just died. safe to say never playing Nd7 after that, Be6 first.
Nd7 seems super logical as its the same common move repeated in the tarkatower but sometimes it cant work here @Brian-E
