Could we ask for specialized backgrounds on important days? Like for the past 25 days a Christmas theme background.

"Important day" is already a politically charged category.
With a site having worldwide audience picking days that are "important" may offend part of the population for whom the said day is not important ( or even offending to be marked as important ).
Even innocent looking categories like "Winter" and "Summer" are charged, because what if you play in a Winter marathon when in your country it is summer? Do you feel neglected? Ok, that's not that politically charged but you get the point.
