Hi all. I just played the Daily Classical Arena, and the guy who end it up at first place is a computer assistance user. So, i wonder why was he competing. And if he was caught cheating during the competition, why he stands at first place after all? We feel as a fools to be franc, it is like have your money robbed. This is not about points, is about fairness. So i just want to know how this works. My opinion is that once cheater always cheater, so they should be banned for good. Cheers, and thanks in advance.

You can't ban people permanently, they will just come back with a different account.
No, we do not ban for life on the first offence. Many people have in fact repented and never cheated again. So I'm sorry, but I refuse to take a totalistic view like that based on our past experiences with cheaters being given second chances and becoming legitimate players and good people.
Anyone can have a second chance, just adding a different account, as Dionysus said. But allowing then to keep their cheat records is not cool.
It's basically nice that bad behavior gets a 2nd chance and makes it possible to correct mistakes and become "good" people, but I would like to see that comp. cheaters should be disqualified from the tourney they were competing in, and get no trophies for their "bad" behavior.
They still can get a 2nd chance in general, but no rewards in tourneys while using comp. assistance.

what makes us annoyed is that the cheater remains at first place, that's pretty unfair.

Weird! I witnessed that tourn too. He was caught cheating while the tourney was going on. How could he then get 1st prize. Why wasn't he disqualified?
