Hi, I really enjoy crazyhouse, but montly tournament time control is depressing. I would like to see it changed to 5 0 in future. everyone I talked about feels that way. what do you guys think ?
10 0 is indeed too long, not enjoyable to play for 5 hours and the better players just berserk and get an easy extra point...

Agreed, 10+0 is really long for crazyhouse. 5+0 would be a better experience in my opinion but be enough time to play quality games.

I personally prefer 10 0 because it takes me longer to consider my options when I'm playing variants
I also play more classical than blitz so I usually prefer the longer time control in general

maybe try 5 1 though because some need more time like 10 0 but this is a fair compromise.
I am a slow player who benefits from the extra time and I still think 10+0 is way too long.

10 minutes is longer than is necessary in my opinion, but at the same time, given the absurd percentage of the tournaments here that are at equally worthless time controls, 1+0, it seems quite silly to whine about a single tournament being 10+0.
