The Duck Method

I like that one. :)
I remember that a former colleague of mine wanted to be stricter with the younger students he had to supervise.
He used to "train" this situation at home by yelling at his teddy bear. Btw we have a stuffed animal (a sloth) at home, he usually recommends to take a nap.
Yes me too. I think we should have small sound loops instead or in the same spirit as flairs. Like the rubber duck could be squeezable with a satisfying sound. Perhaps small enough sounds they can't form words, but still convey the sound flair.
3800+ views, guess duck topic is more popular than cheating topic
Don't touch cheating in title. That would be cheap. Not your style as I could tell anyway. A wink fine. a title, no. might ruin the mood. of course, this is a humble opinion (should be obvious).
As someone who has spent thousands of hours meditating, the entire concept of the duck rings eerily familiar to me. It's a nice way to gain perspective in general. I've done things similar before but the duck does seem to have it's own attractions. Cute, non-threatening, hard to be mad at, good listener but not very knowledgeable. A great introduction to meta-cognition if people are new, and I plan to try this particular strategy in my regular practices.
How is this article making me want to talk to a rubber duck. I guess that means its good
I have been having a lot of difficulty lately with rapid. I reached a peak of 2297, but regrettably sank to high 2100 because I neglected tactics and ignored my opponent's strategy. I decided to read this article and give it a try after seeing it! I tried this duck strategy in classical, and to my surprise, I won most of my games. Of course, I wouldn't try it in a 10+0 game since I would definitely run out of time. I won 13/16 and received my classical rating! if you would check out my profile and look at my classical games, i won most of those games (13/16 with 2 losses). Nevertheless, those opponents' ratings are lower than my rapid rating which indicates that I didn't really face any significant difficulties during my games. This has been a positive start and i hope it stays like this in my future games!
