Question concerning tournaments

Hey guys,

I'm sure i'm not the only beginner wondering about that.

Two weeks ago, there was the Chess Championship, everybody was watching it. Today, I see that there is the LondonChessClassic But is there some tournaments more important than others ? I watched the Tata Steel also but I can't say if it's an important one or not. Which are the most important to watch ?

Also, where can we follow it (with scores) ? Chess24 ? And how can we know about when is it ? It might be a good idea to add a link on lichess to follow the game or a link to the website that hosts the tournament.

Thank you guys
Well for starters you could look and see who's playing and compare the list with this one: http://ratings.fide.com/top.phtml?list=men

London's very strong; the only 2 Top 10 players not there are the two who just fought out the World Championship, Carlsen and Karjakin. They'll both be playing at Tata Steel in January, but the field there isn't as concentratedly high ranked: http://www.tatasteelchess.com/players/masters/all-masters

Chess24 usually has all the news about forthcoming events. You can also look on the websites of individual players to see their schedules.
You can actually follow the London Chess Classic live on the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis YouTube channel.
www.youtube.com/user/STLChessClub

The games are livestreamed with interesting and entertaining commentary not only with variations but regarding the psychology of the players and also some insights about behind the scenes stuff the players do. You can also watch the replays of the previous rounds as well.

Their channel also has informative lectures for a range of player ratings from a variety of chess masters (quite a few GMs too) of varying strengths .
Thanks for your answers, very helpful. Then the most important tournament are the London and The World Championship. Thanks for information.

And I already follow the youtube live channel, that's interesting :)
