when i review games i usually flip the board and play both sides, often for a large amount of moves.
my request is to have the option to analyze not only the original game, but a variation here and there as well. even if its only on imported games it would be much appreciated
You can play the game vs stockfish from position. This is just a matter of few clicks.
#1 I agree this would be an excellent feature. I just have no idea how to make it work properly (especially if multiple players simultaneously add the same variation, and the engines produce different evaluations).

Perhaps a live evaluation would work for variations? It would probably be hard to implement that in a way so that it would use the users cpu though so I don't know.
I agree this would be very nice. Like the computer sugest the best move in any given position on the analises board. You can play it against SF to find out what is the best computer move at that given position, but its not the same. Cheers
maybe adding the option to reanalyze the game, including all the moves you've inputed from the start, would work without straining the server too much?
i.e. users could play lines to their hears content and click "reanalyze"
then it would just analyze the new moves and update the graph accordingly, maybe with vertical lines separating the original game from a unique variation?
