about choosing my repertoire

hi everybody! how can i choose between playing 1.d4 or 1.e4 or other moves like c4 . as a player, i like quick developement ,i rarely make a big blunder,i like positionnel play but sometimes i go for tactics and i like to try new positions . and what should i play as black?
Well looks like the obvious choice for your playstyle is e4. Usually calm strategical positions, but with opportunities to sometimes go for reckless attack or unusual positions.
but i think e4 and c4 are more creative than e4 and with d4 you can change your strategy!
Play 1.e4, 1.d4 and 1.c4 for some time, then choose what opening suits you best. You have to make that decision yourself. Also, don't Dunning-Kruger yourself about rarely making blunders.
i feel confident when i play d4 and excited when i play e4 ,that's why i am confused :p
i want to know what's the difference between d4 and e4 players that's my question
d4 players tend to push their d pawn on the first move, while e4 players usually push their e pawn.

Beginning chess players are often told to focus on 1.e4 first, the "open games".

1.e4 can often lead to open positions in which the importance of noticing tactics and not leaving pieces uncovered/hanging is perhaps more dominant than with 1.d4

1.e4 is said to be for tactical and attacking players, but of course this all depends on the "follow up" opening line.

This week I saw a game by GM Carlsen (from the rapid and blitz ch.), which went something like this :
1.e4 e5. 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.d2d3!?

And GM Jobava has played this before :
1.e4 e5. 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Be2

It is up to you to get the positions that you like and suit your style.

Great attacking players like Aronian, Kasparov and Tal have in their career been playing 1.c4 as the first move.

Does that answer your question ?
@nourhene said he rarely makes big blunders. That sounds like he is not a "Beginning chess player". Still, even GMs play 1.e4.
