Find the best move #3

Also I didn't mean #3 as in 'mate in 3', it's just the 3rd puzzle I've posted. Keeping track now
Looks pretty straight forward. I'd just do counting here. Including b5 we promote in 5 moves. The tempo expended stopping his b pawn if he pushes it cancel each other out. He needs 6 moves, so we promote a move before him and should be able to win pretty easily.
Looks pretty obvious to play b5! Simple pawn breakthrough as in this example.
8/1pp5/1p6/P1P4k/8/7K/8/8 w - - 0 2

c6!

Then there is this line..

Kc4? Kh6 b5 axb5 Kxb5 Kg7 a4 Kxf7
a3 Kg6 a2 f7 a1=Q f8=Q ==

Its about creating a passer as quickly as possible.
I didn't even consider it because going for the c2 pawn just seemed so intuitive

I hope I'm learning something from these
@jimj12 time is of the essence in king and pawn endgames. They are always one of 3 results and can all be calculated to the end. Ether draw/win for white/win for black.
Never will a king and pawn endgame be slightly better/better/or much better for one side or the other. It is always concrete.

King and pawn endgames require calculation and are the best tools in my opinion to improve your calculation. Best way to do it is just calculate and solve many of them. Most king and pawn endgames like this one can be counted and not really calculated. Count how many moves it takes for black to go catch the c2 pawn while white goes and catches the f7 pawn and both sides queen.
Thanks. I can't even blame time pressure for this one, I had a couple minutes left. I would no doubt have been better off spending it at this position rather than later with queens, but I didn't know that at the time

I think the 'moral' of missing this idea is, like chessanalyst mentioned, that pawn endings are extremely precise. It really all comes down to a race to see who can make it touchdown with a pawn first. And pawn endings are notoriously counter intuitive - so you really just have to work things out.
@jimj12 time pressure in pawn endgames is a killer a couple minutes is not often even enough to work everything out. Its very easy to overlook moves both obvious and not obvious. Endgames are often much harder than middlegames due to the concreteness. In most middlegame positions any random legal move that does not hang material or obviously make a position visually worse is okay at minimum.

If you get time I strongly recommend these videos for endgames.
