cheater detection works fine!

I just played an engine, didn't even check the game, it was too obvious, didn't write a report, just waited a few minutes. With me he (it?) played his 9th game, after 12 he was flagged already.
Thank you Lichess!!

Yes, indeed.

Recently Lichess seems to be much much faster and more efficient (removing the tourney standing and tourney games of the cheaters) at removing cheaters from tourneys, which is great.

Thanks a lot for this, Lichess folks !!! :)))

However, your game against this engine abuser cheater was casual, not sure if reporting casual games is applicable ?

I saw a game where I was reviewing from a test simul I played to see if I could get use to the settings. One of them was a 1600 player at the time. And I also played someone I know that doesn't really play chess. Anyway, I thought I wasn't paying attention in the other game where I lost to the 1600, gave little thought to the game cause I was more focused on the "Getting use to controls" then I was of the actual game.

I recently went over the game again to see the moves because I am not use to losing to low rated players, not even in a small simul. I thought to myself, "Geesh the player really did play good moves. I don't see how I played badly. Almost magical how he was getting the better of my position."

I hovered over his name and BAM it says he uses assistance. Then it hit me. Maybe that's what happened.

Anyway, here is the simul if you are interested in guessing who it was. There was only two players and it was practice to get use to simul functions in here.

wesley so still left here due to cheaters :(

Don't mean to offend anyone, just wish Super GM W So was still here playing in this site

@ achja
Yes, not long ago it was sometimes really frustrating. So it's fair to appreciate now the good work they did.
Do you really think use of engine is okay in casual games? I can't really imagine, but if anyone knows for sure, please let us know!

@xDavex
I miss him, too. But are there any facts? How many cheaters he played? Is this better on other sites or has he given up online-chess completely?

I am not sure about the exact rules regarding casual games and engine usage at Lichess.

I seem to remember that on Fics (freechess) admins from time to time said in the generic chat that guest logins could use chess engines without notifying the opponent. (guests would never player rated, only casual).

But again, I am not sure about the Lichess hour rules for this.
thanks guys. the anticheat and programming team is much larger than than years ago thats for sure.
and of course much more players and reports.

i fairly recently returned to do some anticheating work like the older days.
doesnt matter so is not that strong. he can quit and never come back
Wesley So is the GM Lichess deserves but not the one it needs right now
